J2a1* asked: If they mixed among the gentile nations, then which gentile nations have the most Israelite fathers?
cj, it seems like the Bible does have references to them:
“religious and scriptural sources remain the main sources of the belief that the Ten Lost Tribes have some continuing, though hidden, identity somewhere.
There are numerous references in Biblical writings. In Ezekiel 37:16-17, the prophet is told to write on one staff (quoted here in part) “For Judah…” and on the other (quoted here in part) , “For Joseph…” (the main Lost Tribe). The prophet is then told that these two groups shall be someday reunited.”
87% of Ashkenazi Jews who claim descent from Aaron (brother of Moses) belong to Haplogroup J. In addition, 37% of all lay Jews also belong to haplogroup J. This is true of both Ashkenazi and Separdic Jews. Other haplogroups are not very common in the Jewish population.

Here, is the distribution of human populations with signifcant haplogroup J descendants:

I was hoping someone could tell me which of these populations held the Lost Tribes of Israel.
Hrc 2000, it seems haplogroup J still exists in Turkey at about the same level as Greece and Italy. Do you think these are the Lost Tribes?
Fc, there arent many descendants of haplogroup J in the non Jewish population of Europe or North America. So, it doesn’t generally seem like Europeans are descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel, except for some Mediteranean Greeks and Italians.
