upgrading old genealogy files to modern software?
Friday, January 16th, 2009salvor1729 asked:
My family has some old genealogical records for my family which were digitized 15-16 years ago and are in the file format of an ancient DOS version of Brother’s Keeper. I’d like to restart and extend the project, so I’d like a genealogy package that can read these really old files and has a nice interface to work with and extend them. What’s the best way to make the upgrade?

Her name was Bertie Mae Swafford(BD_11/07/13).Her daddy was George Swafford. Her sisters were Inez,Gertrude, and Rose. Her brother is Paul. They were from Bledsoe County TN .George’s first wife died and he remarried to a woman named Alice. Not long after that,George was murdered as he was walking home from getting commodity food in Pikeville.I don’t have hisory past George on the Swafford side and have nothing past George’s first wife(Maggie,my grandmother).I can’t seem to get anything from the area because it is a very small county and the county seat(Pikeville)is a very small town

What genealogy do you think I am? (based on a description)?
Thursday, January 8th, 2009uglies31 asked:
I was wondering, based on my appearance, what people thought my genealogy is. I am caucasian, have curly dark brown hair, brown eyes, a few freckles. Guess as many countries (Scottish, Irish, Italian, etc.) as you’d like. No rude comments please.
I’m sorry I didn’t know that right word for it. Ancestry? Ethnicity?

Are there any Broussards on here? Do you know the history of this surname or the genealogy?
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009__A_YAHOO_USER__ asked:
Im trying to learn about my fathers side of the family tree and Broussard is his mothers maiden last name. From what I got off the internet or what I could get for free was that it is French, yeah thats it. Im told she might have been from Texas and had some native american ancestery. Her full name was Marguerite Louise Broussard.
