Why is it that Rhesa and Abiud only appear in the New Testament in order to extend jesus genealogy?

These two convieniently are apparently the only 2 sons of Zerubbabel not mentioned anywhere in 1 Chronicles (or anywhere else in the OT). We also see in the OT that the geneology actually ends after Zerubbabel, there is no more line to extend from David to jesus.

I am sure some of you will bring up Zerubbabel’s foreign, non existant wife that is mentioned nowhere. If you are please provide at least some evidence of this persons existance..
