Azure asked:

I want to get a an ancestry citizenship or whatever it’s called for Ireland. Supposedly if you have direct ancestry you can do so. My dilemma is a bit complicated. My great great grandmother is from ireland born and then moved to chile (south america). She has been deceased for some years now. During the whole pinochet war, she got rid of all of her documentation, there is no paper proof, and no one knows her maiden name anymore. Is there any other way to prove ancestry/genealogy in order to get this. Since none other are directly linked to this Ireland. If not are there other ways in order to get residency or somet type of visa to live in the UK (not tech. ireland but the UK)

i have researched my family tree back into the 16th century in Europe. i am looking for either software or a website where i can input my data into a family tree and then be able to share it with family members over the internet. i would also be able to print this data into a nice format to include in a book my Mom has put together about our family history.

Photo preference in your genealogy software- most recent? best?

calliope320 asked:

I have several relatives (mainly aunts, uncles, and cousins) who are more than adequately photographed. I’ve been thinking over how I want to handle them in my genealogy software. I can have an un-limited number of photos, with the first picture being the default profile picture for charts and such.

Which pictures would you use?

I think that I want to cut up pictures for the default picture (have only that one person in them). For other pictures, should I have couples and families or mostly individuals? For the default, should I use one that’s most recent, or the one that they look best in? (For example, I have pictures of my grandparents at my parents’ wedding, when they were considerably younger. Should I use those, or the ones where they’re more like I remember them?)

I obviously can’t use all of the pictures, so what’s your insight on this?

Would changing the Genealogy to Genealogy/Ancestors help clarify the confusion?

Dottie asked:

Or any other suggestions to clarify the meaning of Genealogy. There are so many questions under this category that pertain to genes or related subjects that doesn’t have anything to do with tracing your family tree.
I have sent suggestions to Yahoo! Answers twice in the past. But, I guess one persons opinion is not enough to change something.
Thanks for any suggestions and feedback!
